Christmas Star Pecan Pie Turtle Cookies
Another great use for leftover pie crust! A delicious family treat that uses almost all the same ingredients from pecan pie! I always have left over ingredients from pecan pie and this is a great tasty and festive way to use them up! It’s a great transitional dish from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

Ingredients
- 1 Pie Crust (room temperature)
- Sprinkle of Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp melted salted butter
- 2 tbsp Dark Karo Corn Syrup
- 1/4 cup Pecans halved
- Ghirardelli Caramel Sauce
- Star cookie cutter
How to
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Then, roll out the pie crust and cut out your stars.
- Once the pieces are cut, place cut out pieces on a greased cookie sheet about an inch apart from one another. These won’t spread out much or grow much.
- Next, brush the cookies with the melted butter.
- Then, brush the cookies with a generous amount of Karo syrup.
- Break the pecan halves in half long ways and place them in each point on the stars.
- Put in the 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes.
- Once done, sprinkle immediately with sugar.
- Let cool about 5-10 minutes then drizzle with caramel syrup!
So simple and great to use up the leftover pie crust & other ingredients from my pecan pie!
