Baby led weaning – Veggie Spaghetti with Chicken
Baby led weaning should be easy, but sometimes I can find it challenging to incorporate veggies into his dishes that he will eat! My little guy loves tomato sauce though so I knew I could disguise some veggies in a simple pasta sauce! This simple 3 ingredient meal is great for meal prepping for baby led weaning!
The butternut squash pasta makes this so simple and healthy!

I bought refrigerated cooked chicken strips, Ragu Simply (no added sugars, Yay!) and veggie spirals. I only used about 1/3 of the bag of chicken so it was so easy and affordable to make this dish!
I found the veggie noodles at Walmart! SO much easier than spiraling noodles myself.
It’s so convenient to have a few meals in the fridge and freezer for when my husband and I want to drop him off with the grandparents or if we want to order take-out that would not be a healthy option to share with our son. They are perfect for baby led weaning and teaching caregivers how to provide baby led weaning meals!
How to make
- Microwave veggie spirals according to the bag.
- Cut up the chicken into baby led weaning size pieces.
- Strain the veggie noodles in the bag and combine everything into a medium sized pot. I used about 1/2 of the Ragu.
- Place in 4oz containers and top with parmesan, if you want!

- Containers to Store Extras
Ingredients
- 1 Bag Green Giant Veggie Spirals
- 1/2 Jar Ragu Simply Or other preferred pasta sauce
- 5-6 oz Grilled Chicken Strips Precooked
- Sprinkle of Parmesan Optional
Instructions
- Microwave veggie spirals according to the bag.
- While veggies are cooking, cut up chicken into baby led weaning appropriate sized pieces.
- Strain the extra water out of the noodles and combine sauce, noodles and chicken in medium sized pot.
- Place in 4oz servings in containers and top with parmesan, if desired!
