Festive family treat for the holidays

To begin crafting these delicious Nutella Strawberry Stuffed Christmas Tree Pastries, preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Start by flattening out the puff pastry on a floured surface and rolling it out as needed.

Using a cookie cutter or a paper template, cut out Christmas trees from the puff pastry, ensuring you have an even number. Transfer half of the trees to the prepared cookie sheet and brush the beaten egg along all the edges of the dough; this serves as a crucial adhesive for the top tree.

Now, it’s time to fill the trees with a delightful mixture of Nutella and strawberry. Simply place the filling in the center, leaving it in a lump as it will naturally spread out during the cooking process. Ensure that all edges are left open with sufficient space to accommodate the top tree. Add the top trees and press all edges together tightly. To give your pastries a beautiful golden finish, brush the tops with the remaining egg wash before placing them in the preheated oven.

Bake the Christmas Tree Pastries for approximately 12-18 minutes or until they attain a delightful, slightly browned hue. Once baked to perfection, allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a brief 10-minute interval. These scrumptious treats combine the irresistible flavors of Nutella and strawberry within a festive Christmas tree shape, making them a perfect addition to your holiday baking repertoire.
